Here's what you should know about the ACCEND project:
▪️ The project's main objective is to introduce new methods of governance and management mechanisms for water and sanitation (WASH) related work.
▪️ This includes increasing access to WASH facilities, improving personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
As a part of ACCEND, Oxfam is to carry out project activities in 3 selected plantations (Norwood, Bogawantalawa and Lethenty) managed by the Bogawantalawa Tea Estates PLC.
Last month, an MOU was signed between partners to implement ACCEND project activities in favour of the well-being of 38,000 people in over 9,000 families.
The project targets the Ambagamuwa DS Division of the Nuwara Eliya District.
